SANTA CLARA, Calif. – On January 20, 2022 Lindsey VanAllen became the 27th player in Santa Clara women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points.
The senior from Gilbert, Arizona accomplished the feat on a layup with 57 seconds remaining in the third quarter of the Broncos 62-51 win over LMU. The history-making bucket was sandwiched between a pair of 3-pointers during an 8-0 run, all courtesy of VanAllen.
VanAllen is having her best season, averaging 16.8 points per game, good for tops on the team and fourth in the West Coast Conference.
