MARICOPA, Ariz. – Junior Kristin Le and senior Annie Freman tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard, leading Santa Clara women's golf to a fifth-place finish at the 18-team Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, completed today at the 6,131-yard, par-72 Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Freman shot a 3-over 75 and Le a 4-over 76 in Friday's final round, ending the tournament tied for seventh with Eastern Washington's Madalyn Ardueser at 4-over 220. Nevada's Kaitlin Collom won the tie-breakers over Sacramento State's Julia Becker after each scored a 3-under 213 in regulation play.
