SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Cole Kitchen was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week after a dominant start against UC San Diego on Friday night.
Kitchen got the start against the Tritons to open the Broncos three-game series in La Jolla and was in control from the start. In the end, he tossed 7 shutout innings, allowing just two hits while punching out eight.
The victory got Santa Clara off on the right foot as they would take the series from UC San Diego.
