SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara volleyball's Nikki Hess added to an outstanding season of accolades Wednesday morning when she received AVCA Honorable Mention All-America recognition. The junior outside hitter is Santa Clara's first AVCA All-American honoree since Anna Cmaylo in 2008.
Hess was also named to the AVCA All-Pacific North Region Team along with a First Team All-West Coast Conference selection for her performance in 2015.
"I'm really happy for Nikki. All of her hard work over the last two years has paid off," head coach Jon Wallace said. "Nikki has an explosive game that is fun to watch, but what sets her apart is her competitive spirit every day in the gym.
