PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf's Viraj Garewal closed his three-day stay at the Saint Mary's Invitational just the way he started it - with consistency. The grad transfer tallied his third-straight even-par 71 to finish the tournament in a tie for seventh at even par- 71-71-71--143. It is Garewal's second top-10 finish of the fall.
Garewal put a cap on his top-10 performance by rolling in two birdies to counter a pair of bogeys in Wednesday's final round. He finished just one stroke behind a three-way tie for fourth and was seven strokes behind the individual medalist, Fresno State's Matthew Manganello (7-under 206).
