Lihu'e, Hawai'i - Santa Clara had multiple players in red numbers today as they carded an opening round 5-under 283 and are sitting in a tie for eighth at the moment out of the 21 teams competing. The Broncos also began play of the second round today, getting in 27 holes compared to the scheduled 18 holes after coaches chose to play out more of the tournament in anticipation of rain in the coming days.
Viraj Garewal led the team today coming out hot with an eagle on his first hole of the day, the par-5 4th, and ended up carding a 5-under 67 and is 7-under overall currently.
