Extra Inning Home Run Earns Softball Split at Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – In the West Coast Conference opener, Santa Clara softball split a doubleheader at Pacific. The Broncos won the finale 7-5 in eight innings after dropping the opener 7-3.

Game 1
Justine Garner knocked in a single run for the Broncos (5-30, 0-1 WCC) in the first and again in the third to put them on top 2-0.

Garner would finish the game 3-3 with the double and two RBIs while Anne Yates had a pair of hits and scored a run.

The Tigers (18-14, 1-0 WCC) came right back with two in the bottom of the third to make the score 2-all.
