SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Ford Eldredge's banner day of five goals and one assist helped power Santa Clara men's water polo to a big 14-9 victory over the Air Force Falcons on Friday at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. Ford scored 5 goals overall, meeting his career highlight of the season.
Eldredge's five goals were a career-best. He scored once in the opening period and added two goals in both the third and fourth quarters. He also tallied a pair of steals and finished with a game-best six points.
Cody Ferguson struck first for the Broncos within the first two minutes of action and Eldredge followed quickly with a goal of his own to make it 2-0 Santa Clara early on.
