Santa Clara starts conference play with series win over Gaels

Santa Clara jumped out to a promising start in conference play, winning two of three in a highly contested series against St. Mary’s. The Broncos will look to keep up their momentum this weekend.

Sunday’s 4-2 win over St. Mary’s College gave Santa Clara Softball their first series victory in West Coast Conference play.

The result came after a split doubleheader on Saturday in a pair of close games, improving the Broncos’ overall record to 10-24.
