MILLBRAE, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf had a phenomenal opening day fighting back after the first round to put themselves in third place and were only outplayed by the two ranked teams in the field, Stanford and Pepperdine.
Borina Sutikto and Lauren Shew led the team today in scoring as they both ended up at 7-over after the first two rounds and are in the T13th position. Sutikto, coming off a T5 finish at last week's Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, opened with a 3-over 74 and followed it up with a 4-over 75.
