SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Break out the brooms! For the first time since the 2012-13 season, Santa Clara men's basketball has defeated their Bay Area rival San Francisco twice to complete the regular-season sweep. The Broncos, who won 79-67 earlier this season in Santa Clara, put on a dominating team effort on Saturday night in front of the ESPNU cameras in War Memorial, running away with an 83-70 victory.
The victory was Santa Clara's first inside War Memorial since Jan. 17, 2018, and the 13-point outcome was their largest margin of victory inside the building since Jan.
