SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball's Brandon Gomez has been named West Coast Conference co-Pitcher of the Week after a dominant start on Saturday.
In the finale of the three-game WCC-opening series, Gomez led the Broncos to victory over Saint Mary's.
The sophomore left hander tossed a three-hit shutout while striking out nine Gales to give Santa Clara the series victory.
It is the third week in a row the Broncos have nabbed pitcher of the week honors. On March 6, it was Cole Kitchen and on March 13 it was Skylar Hales.
