SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball heads up to the Hilltop to play a weekend series against West Coast Conference co-leader San Francisco starting on Friday at 3 p.m. PT. It wil be the start of playing eight straight games on the road as the Broncos are in the midst of playing 12 road contests in 13 games. In those first five games, Santa Clara is 2-3, coming off a win over Cal Poly at home on Tuesday night.
Santa Clara is 5-9 on the road and USF is 12-8 at home. The Dons (23-17, 12-6 WCC) are currently the WCC co-leaders along with Pepperdine behind its strong pitching which boasts the third best ERA in the WCC at 3.
