MORAGA, Calif. – Five players in double figures helped lead Santa Clara women's basketball to a 94-87 overtime win at Saint Mary's Thursday night in the penultimate game of the regular season.
Lindsey VanAllen and Merle Wiehl stepped up in the extra period, scoring 14 of the team's 16 points, while also leading the Broncos (11-17, 5-12 WCC) in scoring on the night with 21 and 17 respectively.
Fourteen of Wiehl's career high 21 came in the first half with none in the second before seven in overtime.
