SAN JOSE -- San Jose State will open spring football camp next month with an overhauled defensive coaching staff that coach Ron Caragher named Tuesday.
Ron English will replace defensive coordinator Greg Robinson, who retired after the Spartans' Cure Bowl victory in December.Arnold Ale, Long Beach City College defensive coordinator, takes over the linebacking duties for Joe Stabb, who was let go after the season. Former Cal assistant Barry Sacks will coach the defensive line. He replaces James Jones, who also was not retained.Former USC star Will Harris will handle the defensive backs after Donte Williams left San Jose for a similar position at Arizona.
