At its annual meetings in Indianapolis, the NCAA Division 1 council solidified the process for placing eligible teams into bowl games for the upcoming season.Last season only 77 schools qualified for the six-win standard, allowing three teams to be selected for bowls based on APR scores.Among them were the Spartans, who went 5-7 during the regular season before rallying to beat Georgia State 27-16 in the Cure Bowl in Orlando. Also picked were Minnesota and Nebraska, which each won their bowls too.
