Zuccarello’s hat trick helps Rangers top Maple Leafs

Mats Zuccarello had his first career hat trick as the host New York Rangers beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 on Friday night.

Zuccarello opened the scoring at 9:41 in the first. He gave his team a 2-0 lead at 5:34 of the third, and he completed his hat trick with an empty-netter with 48.6 seconds left.

Wild 5, Blackhawks 4: Jason Zucker scored 18 seconds into the game and assisted on Nino Niederreiter’s winner in the third period for host Minnesota. Wild forward Justin Fontaine left in the second period after a knee-on-knee collision with Chicago’s Andrew Desjardins, and Blackhawks wing Marian Hossa didn’t play in the third because of a lower-body injury.
