ST. PAUL, Minn. — Jared Spurgeon completed the comeback for the Minnesota Wild, shooting a feed from Jason Zucker into a yawning net with 12 seconds left in overtime.
The Wild scored three-unanswered goals to pick up a 3-2 overtime win over the Sharks, who completed their four-game road trip through the Central Division with a 1-2-1 record.
Matt Cullen got the Wild on the board at 19:16 of the second, redirecting a saucer pass from Jared Spurgeon. They tied it up at 2-2 with 4:44 left in the third when Staal stuffed a wraparound attempt past goalie Martin Jones, setting the stage for the dramatics in overtime.
