LAS VEGAS — With just eight teams standing in the Stanley Cup playoffs, the spotlight is shining on role players who often go unnoticed during the regular season, especially in West Coast markets, such as San Jose.
Brenden Dillon got his turn to take center stage Thursday when Hockey Night in Canada’s Don Cherry heaped praise upon him in his “Coach’s Corner” segment.
“That’s a Canadian kid’s dream,” Dillon said. “A couple of my buddies from back home texted me. I guess he said some pretty-nice things.”
