The Sharks will play their final game of the holiday break on Sunday, and they'll have to do so minus star defenseman Erik Karlsson.
The NHL suspended Karlsson two games for an illegal check to the head, meaning San Jose will not have the two-time Norris Trophy winner in the lineup on Sunday against the Arizona Coyotes. Karlsson assisted on both Sharks goals in Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Kings, and the Swedish blue liner extended his assist streak to eight games.
In the meantime, they'll have to make due against the Desert Dogs.
