The San Jose Sharks were dealt another significant injury blow when news came down Thursday morning that Tomas Hertl is out for the season.
Hertl tore his ACL and MCL in the first period of Wednesday night’s home game against the Vancouver Canucks, sources confirmed to reporter Curtis Pashelka.

The Sharks center has just taken a backhand shot on net when Canucks defenseman Christopher Tanev, who had gone to the ice to block the shot, slid into him. Hertl was pinned agains the end boards and fell to the ice.
