It won’t take long for new Sharks coach Peter DeBoer to learn one key thing about his team: whether it can win on the road.
The team on Thursday released its 2015-16 schedule and it shows them playing five of their first six, seven of their first 11 and 13 of their first 21 games away from SAP Center.
Playing on the road wasn’t a problem for the Sharks last season; they were 21-16-4. But a mediocre 19-17-5 mark on home ice — including a winless February — was instrumental in the team not making the playoffs for the first time since 2003 and led to coach Todd McLellan’s departure after seven seasons.
