ST. LOUIS — The Sharks will head back to San Jose late Tuesday night with either a big hole or a big opportunity.
If the Sharks lose Game 2, they return home down two games to none in the best-of-seven Western Conference finals. But a win over the Blues gives the Sharks a split in St. Louis and home-ice advantage with three of the possible five remaining games at home.
So there’s a definite sense of urgency for the visitors on Tuesday.
“Every game counts. Every win matters,” Sharks captain Joe Pavelski said following the Tuesday morning skate.
