Sharks Sign Defenseman Jeremy Roy

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed defenseman Jeremy Roy to a standard, entry-level contract.

Roy, 18, collected 43 points (5 goals, 38 assists) in 46 games with the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) last season, and ranked T-10th amongst all QMJHL defensemen in points despite skating in just 46 games due to injury. His 0.93 points per game ranked 2nd amongst league blueliners (minimum 25 games played) and he led Sherbrooke defensemen in both points and assists.
