Sharks' Patrick Marleau gets involved early in Game 3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Patrick Marleau hasn't had quite as much ice time in the Sharks' first two second-round playoff games against the Nashville Predators as he did in the first round or even the regular season. But he took advantage of an opportunity on just his sixth shift of Tuesday's Game 3 against the Predators.

After Marc-Edouard Vlasic blocked a shot from Nashville's Roman Josi up to Tomas Hertl, Marleau took a pass from Tomas Hertl at his feet and he kicked it past Predators defenseman Shea Weber. He then skated between Josi and Weber in the Predators' zone, picked up the puck, eluded a poke check from Pekka Rinne and scored his second of the playoffs to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead with 6:47 left in the first period.
