BROOKLYN – Alex Stalock will make his season debut on Saturday night when the Sharks play their first-ever game at Barclays Center against the Islanders.
Coach Pete DeBoer was asked why it’s the right time to get him in a game, as starter Martin Jones has been the NHL’s best goaltender so far.
“Back-to-back, and he deserves to play,” DeBoer said about two hours before puck drop. “I think the guys all feel comfortable with him. We were looking at maybe even sticking him in before this, but Jonesy was really hot, so we didn’t want to mess with that.
