CHICAGO — Goalie Aaron Dell was more or less known as a stopper to the Sharks’ coaching staff during the 2017-18 season. Whenever the team needed to halt a losing streak or required a pick-me-up after a busy stretch, Dell would usually come in and give the Sharks a chance to win.
Boy, oh, boy, do they need him to do the same thing tonight.
Faced with the specter of an 0-5-0 start, which would be the worst in franchise history, Dell is getting the call Thursday as the Sharks face the Chicago Blackhawks to finish their so far fruitless three-game road trip.
