NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Matt Nieto's status for Game 7 of the Sharks' second round playoff series against the Nashville Predators' is unclear after he was injured late in the first period of Monday's game at Bridgestone Arena.
Nieto crashed hard into the Predators' net next to Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne with 3:31 to go in the first. The 23-year-old forward remained on the ice for several moments before he was able to make it to the Sharks' bench. Nieto came out for one more shift with under a minute left in the first period, but did not return to the game after that as the Predators went on to a 4-3 win in overtime to even the best-of-seven series at three wins apiece.
