NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The NHL’s best road team started off well with an early goal, but the Sharks fell 4-1 to Nashville after the Predators scored four straight goals to win Game 3 of a Western Conference semifinal on Tuesday night.
The loss ended the Sharks’ four-game playoff win streak and narrowed their lead in the series to 2-1.
Game 4 is in Nashville at 6 p.m. Thursday.
It was San Jose’s first road loss in four playoff games.
Patrick Marleau’s first-period goal gave San Jose a 1-0 lead, but Nashville answered with goals by James Neal, Shea Weber, Colin Wilson and Filip Forsberg.
