SAN JOSE — Center Joe Thornton’s return to the Sharks’ lineup will have to wait until sometime after Game 1 of San Jose’s second round series against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Thornton has been officially ruled for the opener, whenever that may be, by Sharks coach Pete DeBoer. The NHL, as of Sunday morning, had not set the complete schedule for the series, which will begin at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas regardless.
It is believed that the matchup will begin by the middle of the next week, either Wednesday or Thursday. Still, nothing is concrete at this point.
