Sharks hoping to take 3-1 series lead on Predators

NASHVILLE — Tuesday’s loss to Nashville put the Sharks in a familiar position.

After winning the first two games of the series, San Jose holds a 2-1 lead over the Predators in the Western Conference semifinals.

“We were in the exact same spot in the L.A. series as we are sitting here today except we were at home,” Sharks head coach Peter DeBoer said Wednesday. “I think we’re more comfortable on the road than we are at home.”

Game 4 is in Nashville at 6 p.m. Thursday, which is probably just fine with San Jose because it boasted the NHL’s best road record (28-10-3) during the regular season.
