SAN JOSE — Sharks forward Micheal Haley said he was simply trying to go to the net to create a scoring opportunity.
If, as a by-product of that, Haley happened to get Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to lose his composure for a moment, then so be it.
“I don’t know if that was my intention,” Haley said. “I was trying to score a goal and got hit into him, you know? Things like that, I’m going to the net and got hit into him. I’m sure he was just reacting. It happens.”
