SAN JOSE -- The Sharks failed to sell out a playoff game for the first time in franchise history Friday night, as the team announced a crowd of 17,026 for Game 1 of its second round playoff series with the Nashville Predators at SAP Center.
The Sharks had sold out all 90 playoff games in its history, dating back to their first playoff game at the arena in 1994. Coming into Friday, the Sharks' all-time record at home in the playoffs was 48-42.The Sharks announced sellout crowds of 17,562 for their first two home playoff games this season, games 3 and 4 of their first round series against the rival Los Angeles Kings that ended in five games.
