After a bleak Monday night game at home — during which nearly the entire bottom-six forwards for the Calgary Flames scored on the Sharks — it’s back to the road again for San Jose, as they complete their three-game season series with the Winnipeg Jets.
The Jets have certainly been an interesting team this year. Despite being so bad for a stretch that they nearly disappeared off of Sean Tierney’s expected goal share chart, the Jets have gone 4-1-1 in their last six games and now find themselves in a playoff spot— good enough for Jets ownership to extend head coach Paul Maurice for three more seasons.
