The Sharks have found their goalie.
Martin Jones, traded from Los Angeles to Boston just four days ago, was acquired by the Sharks on Tuesday morning. San Jose has sent its 2016 first round pick and prospect Sean Kuraly to the Bruins in exchange for Jones, according to ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun.
Jones, the backup to Jonathan Quick in Los Angeles for parts of the last two seasons, is 16-11-2 with a 1.99 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 34 career NHL games. The 25-year-old stands 6-foot-4, 187 pounds, and is a pending restricted free agent.
