The San Jose Sharks are well into their 2015-16 season and so are many of their top prospects throughout their organization. Earlier this week, one Sharks youngster took home player of the week honors for his recent play. Kevin Labanc, a 2014 sixth-round pick (171st overall), was named the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Canadian Hockey League (CHL) Player of the Week after he recorded nine points in three games last week.
Labanc registered two goals and seven assists with a plus-three rating, headlined by a five-point performance (one goal and four assists) in leading his Barrie Colts to a 7-2 victory over the Sudbury Wolves.
