SAN JOSE -- The Sharks weren't in any hurry to open old wounds Monday as they began to prepare for another playoff meeting with the archrival Los Angeles Kings.
"That was really a long time ago. I don't remember much," Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic said of his team's postseason collapse at the hands of the Kings in 2014. "This is a new season."Playoff disappointment has been woven into the fabric of the Sharks organization for as long as anyone around the team cares to remember, and the first-round meltdown of two years ago had effects that lingered well past the handshakes between the two teams at center ice.
