San Jose forward Barclay Goodrow out long-term with finger injury

According to Paul Gackle of the Mercury News, San Jose Sharks Forward Barclay Goodrow had surgery on his finger last night.

Goodrow was injured early on in the game against St. Louis last Tuesday. There is no timetable for his return as of now.

Joel Ward is the likely replacement for Goodrow on the fourth line, as he drew into the line rushes at this mornings game day skate. Ward will play center in Eric Fehr’s continued absence. He will be flanked by Marcus Sorensen and Jannik Hansen.

This is another in a string of minor injuries which have plagued Goodrow’s short career with San Jose.
