Aaron Dell made 41 saves, Nikolay Goldobin added three points and five different Barracuda scored in San Jose's 6-0 playoff-clinging win over the Stockton Heat on Sunday afternoon.
In the team's first season in San Jose, the 'Cuda made the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. They'll face the division champion (and reigning AHL champs) Ontario in the first round of the playoffs. That series will begin on either Wednesday or Thursday this week at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.
Jeremy Morin also added three points (one goal, two assists) and Dell played like he had something to prove after playing well below his own standards in San Jose's loss on Saturday.
