Sam Reinhart’s hat trick lifts Sabres over Jets

Sam Reinhart scored three goals for his first NHL hat trick and the visiting Buffalo Sabres beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Sunday to snap a six-game losing streak.

Former Jets forward Evander Kane had an assist on Reinhart’s empty-net goal in his first game against the team that traded him Feb. 11 in a multiplayer deal.

Marcus Foligno also scored for Buffalo, and Linus Ullmark made 42 saves.

Blake Wheeler and Mathieu Perreault scored for the Jets, and Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 25 shots.
