SAN JOSE – The way the Sharks performed in the second half of their 2-1 home preseason win over Vancouver on Tuesday night wasn’t overly encouraging, now that there is just about a week to go before the season opener in Los Angeles on Oct. 7.
Still, this is a mostly veteran team, and the seven-game preseason schedule can feel like an eternity. Just about all of the experienced Sharks dressed on Tuesday against a Canucks roster that featured plenty of youthful talent still trying to make an impression.
In other words, let’s not overreact here. As Billie Joe Armstrong might say, wake them up when September ends.
