The Los Angeles Kings were eliminated by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Their first, and arguably most important offseason question, was answered Thursday.

Coach Darryl Sutter, whose contract expired at the end of the year, has reportedly agreed to a new deal with the Kings, reports Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times.

Sutter led the Kings to Stanley Cup victories in 2012 and 2014.

The deal will reportedly be announced Friday.
