Purdy: Predators saw blood, then pounced on Sharks

NASHVILLE -- Well, they are Predators, after all. Predators are supposed to pounce.

Nashville's hockey team took advantage of the Sharks when they were the most vulnerable here Tuesday night. It happened when the Predators saw blood. Or at least a referee did."I would still like an explanation of how it's a double-minor," said Sharks' coach Pete DeBoer after a crucial penalty against his team shifted the momentum greatly in an eventual 4-1 victory by the Predators. That momentum shift happened roughly two minutes into the second period when, with the Sharks holding a 1-0 lead and rolling along nicely, rookie forward Joonas Donskoi got his stick up too high and the blade grazed the skin of Nashville's James Neal.
