PITTSBURGH — Previously injured Sharks left wing Matt Nieto confirmed he’s in the lineup Wednesday for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals as San Jose looks to even the best-of-seven series after losing 3-2 on Monday.
“To come in and see my name on the board that I’m in tonight is a special feeling,” Nieto said. “I’m going to take it all in.”
While coach Peter DeBoer would not divulge who is coming out or what the Sharks’ line combinations might look like, it appears veteran left wing Dainius Zubrus will be a healthy scratch and Nieto could join center Chris Tierney and right wing Joel Ward on San Jose’s third line.
