NHL playoff teams have injury woes

Injuries are certainly a part of the game, but a couple of NHL teams with playoff aspirations got bad news just the same on Friday.

The Anaheim Ducks — a possible first-round opponent for the Sharks — got hit hard. They learned goalie Frederik Andersen suffered a concussion during Wednesday’s rout of Calgary. Recent pickup David Perron has a separated shoulder that will cost the left wing to miss four to six weeks. And young center Rickard Rakell went to the doctor for the flu and came back with a diagnosis of appendicitis.
