Martin Jones turns in consecutive shutouts for Sharks

While the Blues, in their desperation, were changing goaltenders by the third period on Thursday night at SAP Center, the Sharks were rock-sold in net, again.

Martin Jones, who’d never started a playoff game until April, became the first San Jose goaltender ever to post consecutive shutouts in the postseason - and he picked a sensational time to do so, blanking St. Louis in Games 2 and 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

“He’s playing unbelievable,” Sharks center Logan Couture said. “He’s calm, he’s making every single save. He’s been bringing it.
