San Jose head coach Peter DeBoer displayed a different look with his forward lines in preparation for Saturday’s visit by the Minnesota Wild, the Sharks’ final home game before the Christmas break. In other words, another long and challenging road trip for an inconsistent, banged-up team awaits.
First the news on Couture. He underwent a procedure Thursday to close a small arterial bleed in his right thigh, the result of a charley horse-like trauma discovered after an aborted two-game return after Couture missed 23 games following surgery to repair a broken fibula sustained during a practice in mid-October.
