SAN JOSE — Joe Thornton is officially be back with the Sharks for what will be his 22nd NHL season.
Thornton put pen to paper Friday, signing a one-year contract to remain with the Sharks, who completed their last big piece of business before the start of training camp next week.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately known, but it’s the third consecutive year that Thornton has signed a one-year deal to remain in San Jose. Thornton and the Sharks agreed to a $8 million contract for the 2017-18 season and a $5 million deal for last season.
