With the close of another month of hockey, the San Jose Sharks announced that Joe Thornton was named as the Sharks Foundation Player of the Month for January.
It was quite the month of hockey for Thornton who led the team with 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 12 games to go along with a plus-10 rating. He registered a point in 11 of those 12 games, including a 10-game point streak.
Simply put, Thornton was a dominating presence for San Jose in helping them rebound from an inconsistent start to the year.
