Jets 5, Sharks 4: San Jose allows two late goals to lose

SAN JOSE -- The Sharks will finish in third place in the Pacific Division after their 5-4 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. They'll start next week's playoffs away from home against one of the better teams in the National Hockey League.

That they won't start the postseason at home, or against a team that already has tee times in mind for later this month, might actually work to their advantage. The Jets scored twice late in the third period, including a goal by Dustin Byfuglien with 9.9 seconds left, to hand the Sharks their fifth loss at home in their last six games.
